PGIMER Biochemistry Vacancy: Project Research Scientist-I for Cancer Diagnostics

The Department of Biochemistry at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, has announced a vacancy for a Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical). This recruitment is part of an ICMR-funded initiative aimed at developing a novel technique for detecting Circulating Tumor Cells (CTCs) in patients with Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma.

Project Overview

The study, titled “Diagnostic trial of novel in-house developed Circulating Tumor Cells detection technique for Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma,” focuses on cutting-edge oncology diagnostics. The selected candidate will work under the mentorship of the Biochemistry faculty to validate this diagnostic tool.

Eligibility & Salary

Essential: Master’s degree in relevant fields or a 4-year Bachelor’s in Engineering/IT/CS.
Preferred: A Ph.D. in Life Sciences or 2 years of dedicated research experience in Cancer Biology or Molecular Biology.
Age Limit: 35 Years.
Pay Scale: ₹56,000/- per month + HRA as per rules.
