
The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Raebareli, has announced an opening for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF). This position is part of a prestigious research project funded by the Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM), under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.
The project aims to explore the potential of classical Unani medicine in treating age-related muscle wasting using a multi-dimensional approach involving computer simulations and biological testing.
Project Overview
- Project Title: Harnessing Classical Unani Medicine to Combat Aging-Associated Muscle Wasting: An in-silico, in-vitro, and in-vivo approach.
- Principal Investigator (PI): Dr. Sapana Kushwaha.
- Duration: 01 Year (Purely temporary).
- Emoluments: ₹37,000 per month + HRA (as per norms).
Eligibility & Candidate Profile
1. Educational Qualifications
- Essential: First-class Post-Graduate degree (M.S. Pharm / M.Pharm / M.Sc or equivalent).
- Specialization: Pharmacology & Toxicology, Regulatory Toxicology, Biotechnology, or Life Sciences.
- Mandatory Requirement: Candidates must have a valid GPAT, GATE, or NET qualification.
2. Desirable Skills
Candidates with hands-on experience in the following areas will be preferred:
- Cell culture techniques and Molecular Biology.
- Histology and Animal handling.
- Experimental research skills.
3. Age Limit
- Maximum 35 years (Relaxation applicable as per Government of India rules).
