Eligibility Criteria & Pay Scale
Educational Qualification:
- Allopathic: B.Pharma or D.Pharma with registration as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948.
- Ayurvedic: 12th (Science) + Degree/Diploma in Ayurvedic Pharmacy (min. 2 years) + 2 years of relevant experience.
- Homoeopathic: 12th (Science) + Diploma/Certificate in Homoeopathic Pharmacy (min. 1 year).
Pay Scale:
Most posts fall under Pay Level 5 (₹29,200 – ₹92,300), while the Junior Pharmacist position is at Level 4 (₹25,500 – ₹81,100).
Age Limit (as of 01.01.2026):
- General range: 18–30 years (varies by specific post code).
- Relaxations: SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), and PwBD (10 years).
Exam Pattern & Selection Process
The selection will be based on a Computer Based Examination (CBE) featuring Multiple Choice Questions. There are separate papers for 10+2 and Graduate levels.
- General Intelligence: 25 Questions (50 Marks)
- General Awareness: 25 Questions (50 Marks)
- Quantitative Aptitude: 25 Questions (50 Marks)
- English Language: 25 Questions (50 Marks)
- Negative Marking: 0.50 marks for every incorrect answer.
- Duration: 60 Minutes.
Crucial Application Instructions
- Live Photo Capture: Unlike previous years, candidates must capture a real-time photograph using the application module. Ensure a plain background and proper lighting.
- Aadhaar Authentication: SSC highly recommends Aadhaar-based OTR to avoid application rejection based on photo/signature discrepancies.
- Application Fee: ₹100. Women, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from the fee.
- Correction Window: If errors are made, a 3-day window will open in May for modifications (charges apply).
