The BRIC-National Agri-Food and Biomanufacturing Institute (BRIC-NABI), an autonomous wing of the Department of Biotechnology, is seeking a veteran expert for the position of Consultant – Regulatory Affairs and Commercialization. Based in Mohali, this strategic role aims to transform laboratory innovations in bio-fortified crops and functional foods into viable, market-ready solutions.

Pioneering Translational Agri-Food Science

This senior-level position is designed to move “designer crops” and nutritional biotech from the bench to the consumer. The consultant will serve as the primary link between research and industry:

Industry Synergy: Catalyzing technical partnerships with private corporations and global research institutes.
Business Intelligence: Developing knowledge-driven business plans rooted in plant and food science research.
Regulatory Navigation: Examining the complex technical aspects of food safety and biotech regulations to facilitate product launches.
Knowledge Transfer: Organizing partnership meetings to align institutional research with market demands.

Eligibility & Profile Requirements

BRIC-NABI is looking for a senior scientist or regulatory expert with a deep understanding of the Indian agri-food landscape.

Criteria	Requirement
Education	PhD in Life Sciences, Agricultural Biotech, Food Technology, or Nutrition Sciences.
Experience	15 years of post-qualification experience in regulatory affairs and commercialization.
Age Limit	Maximum 60 years (as of May 11, 2026).
Contract	11 months (extendable based on performance and project need).

Compensation and Work Schedule

This role offers a high level of professional prestige alongside a flexible working arrangement:

Consolidated Pay: Rs. 1,50,000/- per month (fixed).
Schedule: A commitment of 24 hours per week, allowing for a specialized work-life balance.
