CSIR-NCL Invites Applications for Project Associate-II in Anti-Malarial Research

The CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory (CSIR-NCL), a leading research institution under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, has announced a temporary opening for one position of Project Associate-II. The role is for an ICMR-funded research project focused on developing new anti-malarial agents.

This is a significant opportunity for candidates with a background in Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry to contribute to a project titled “Process Development And Lead Optimization Of A New Class of In- House-Developed Histidinal-Based Potent Anti-Malarial Agents.” The position is for an initial period of six months.

Position Details and Eligibility

Number of Positions: 1
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years (with age relaxation for reserved categories).
Essential Qualifications: A Master’s or Integrated Master’s degree in Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry from a recognized university.
Desirable Experience: An M.Sc. in organic or medicinal chemistry with a minimum of six months of experience is preferred.
Job Requirement: The selected candidate will be responsible for solution-based peptide synthesis, organic synthesis, and product isolation and purification. They will also be involved in structural elucidation using advanced analytical techniques like NMR, MS, and HPLC.
Emoluments:
- ₹31,000 + HRA for candidates who have qualified for national-level examinations such as CSIR-UGC NET or GATE.
- ₹25,000 + HRA for all other candidates.
