
The Malabar Cancer Centre (MCC), an autonomous institution under the Government of Kerala, is inviting online applications for two distinct temporary positions. These roles are based at their facility in Thalassery and offer an opportunity to contribute to a leading oncology research and treatment center.
1. Resident Pharmacist
This position is a stipendiary trainee role aimed at providing practical experience in an institutional setting.
- Number of Posts: 1
- Qualifications: Candidates must possess either a Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) or a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm).
- Age Limit: The maximum age is 30 years as of January 1, 2025.
- Monthly Stipend:
- ₹15,000 for Diploma holders.
- ₹17,000 for Graduates.
- Tenure: The appointment is for one year initially, and it can be extended for a maximum period of three years, subject to satisfactory performance.
2. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
This is a fixed-term contract position for a specific research project.
- Number of Posts: 1
- Project Title: “Developing a 3 Dimensional (3D) Organotypic Co-Culture System of Breast Cancer Cells with Adipocyte and Immune Cells for Drug Screening.”
- Qualifications: A Master’s degree in Life Science, Biotechnology, or Molecular Biology is required. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in molecular biology and cell culture. Candidates who express a willingness to pursue a Ph.D. will also be given preference.
- Age Limit: The maximum age is 35 years as of January 1, 2025.
- Monthly Pay: A consolidated salary of ₹22,000.
- Tenure: The appointment is initially for a period of one year or until the project’s completion, whichever is earlier. The tenure may be extended depending on the project’s extension and the candidate’s performance.

- For the JRF post: ₹100 for SC/ST and ₹250 for others.
- For the Pharmacist post: ₹100 for SC/ST and ₹200 for others. (Note: Only SC/ST categories listed in the Kerala PSC will be considered. Applicants from other states in these categories will be treated as General.)
- Selection Process: A written test and/or a detailed interview will be conducted. Candidates will be informed of the test/interview details via email or through the website.
- Required Documents: Candidates should have digital copies of their photograph and be prepared to produce original certificates and a self-attested copy of each at the time of the interview.
