Project Details

The successful candidate will join the project titled “CO2 sequestration and bioconversion into poly hydroxyl alkanoates (PHAs) by using genetically modified phototrophic purple non-sulfur bacteria and Cyanobacteria.” This project aims to use genetic modification of specific bacteria to capture carbon dioxide and convert it into a useful material.

Eligibility and Compensation

  • Essential Qualification: Candidates must have a Master’s/Integrated Master’s in Natural, Agricultural, or Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or Medicine from a recognized university.
  • Desirable Experience: While not mandatory, experience in culturing, particularly photosynthetic bacteria, and molecular identification is a plus.
  • Age Limit: The upper age limit is 35 years, with relaxations for candidates from SC/ST/OBC, PwBD, and women.
  • Monthly Emoluments:
    • ₹31,000 + HRA for candidates who have qualified for a national-level examination such as CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET or GATE.
    • ₹25,000 + HRA for all other candidates.

Important Notes

  • Candidates with “results awaited” are not eligible to apply.
