AIIMS, New Delhi: Hiring Assistant Professor of Pharmacology (Faculty Post)

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, an institute of national importance, invites ON-LINE applications from eligible Indian and other citizens for the faculty post of Assistant Professor of Pharmacology on a contract basis. The appointment will be for a period of one year or until alternative arrangements are made, whichever is earlier, at AIIMS New Delhi/NCI, Jhajjar.

🎓 Essential Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must meet the specific qualifications based on whether they are from a medical or non-medical background:

1. For Medical Candidates

• Qualification (i): A medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or Part II of the third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
• Qualification (ii): A postgraduate qualification, specifically M.D. in Pharmacology or a recognized equivalent qualification.
• Experience: Three years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the MD in Pharmacology degree.

2. For Non-Medical Candidates

• Qualification (i): A postgraduate qualification, which is a Master’s Degree in Pharmacology / Drug Assay / Chemistry / Biochemistry / Zoology.
• Qualification (ii): A Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.) from a recognized university.
• Experience: Three years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the concerned discipline/subject after obtaining the Doctorate Degree.

Note: All required educational qualifications and experience must have been acquired on or before the last date of online application submission (October 18, 2025).

• Shortlisting Criteria: If the number of applicants for any post exceeds 10, an objective scoring criterion will be used to shortlist the top candidates for the interview.
  • Candidates must upload supportive documents (as proof of meeting the criteria) during the online application. Failure to upload necessary documents will result in a score of NIL for that criterion.
  • Communication regarding shortlisting and interview dates will be made solely through the candidate’s MyPage, Email, and SMS.
