CSIR-IITR Walk-In Interview 2026: Project Staff Recruitment

The CSIR-Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (IITR), Lucknow, a premier national laboratory under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, is conducting a walk-in interview for several temporary project-based positions. These roles are focused on diverse fields including Environmental Toxicology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, and Water Quality Mapping.

Research Focus Areas

The selected candidates will work on high-impact projects such as:

Environmental Monitoring: Stack emission testing and environmental audits for thermal power stations (Anpara) and industrial giants (Tata Motors).
Neuroscience & ALS: Designing miRNA-based antisense oligonucleotide therapy for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.
Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR): Exploring peptidoglycan remodeling in soil and aquatic microbes.
Water Mapping: Mapping groundwater quality in the Hindon Basin and inspecting grossly polluting industries (GPIs) along the Ganga and Yamuna rivers.

Walk-In Interview Details

Interested candidates must report directly to the venue. Note that latecomers (after 10:00 AM) will not be allowed to participate.

Age Limits: Generally 30–35 years depending on the post.
- Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/PH/Female candidates; 3 years for OBC (NCL).

General Conditions

Tenure: Purely temporary and co-terminus with the project duration.
Experience: Counted only after the date of acquiring the minimum educational qualification.
Selection: Suitable candidates may be empanelled for future vacancies.
Travel: No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
